Taima M. Elliott, LCSW

I’m an Brooklyn native, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) & an active member of the American Counseling Association . I received my graduate degree in Social Work from Fordham University. As a clinician, I have worked with diverse populations within the Bronx and Brooklyn communities, supporting a wide range of client populations from children to geriatrics. My career began over 10 years ago supporting adjudicated youth through offender rehabilitation services. I later transitioned to providing individual counseling for adults.

Through my own adversity within my upbringing, a time marked with loss, grief and emotional healing. I found my inspiration. I found my purpose. I embarked on the journey of wanting to give back and help others, who too face similar adversities in their lives. I’m passionate about creating a space for healing and mental growth. I believe all clients are the experts of their story and utilizing an integrative style of therapy is empowering.

My core values of Family, Respect, Compassion and Self-Determination, are deeply rooted and characterize my practice. I approach therapy with curiosity, acceptance, compassion, and a little humor. I primarily practice through a relational and attachment-based psychodynamic, specializing in working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and complex grief .
